The Herald-Sun's Q&A with Austin Rivers ›
“I looked at it and just thought Duke was the best fit for me. People are saying it wasn’t a good fit and saying it wasn’t the right school for me. But if I had to choose it all over again, I would. I love my teammates. They are like a family to me. I love my coaches. They helped me mature as a person and get a lot better. They put me in a position where I matured a lot and I’m ready to go to the pros.”

It was a difficult decision to leave Duke, but I am excited about chasing my dream of playing in the NBA. Duke has prepared me for the challenges that are ahead both on and off the court. I’ve learned so much from the coaching staff and my teammates that will help me succeed at the next level.

Austin has not made a decision. One day he feels one way, then another feeling the next day… but Duke will know next week.
