A lot of kind words for Jon Scheyer from the Duke coaching staff and former players after it was officially announced that he is coming back to Duke as a special assistant.

You’re only a freshman, but to watch these three seniors who have done so much for this program have to play their final game, how difficult was that for you?
It’s really hard. I’ve only been with these guys for a year, but they made a big impact on my life, and they’ve done so much for me, for us as a team, and for this program. With the time invested that we all put, and how close our team was this year, it’s just a shame that we didn’t walk out as champions. But you know, we have nothing to be ashamed of. We accomplished a lot this year. We won thirty games, and those guys are gonna have great careers in the future. The only regret that I have this year is that we didn’t help those guys walk out with their heads up as champions.
