As a freshman, Hill helped the Blue Devils upend unbeaten UNLV in the 1991 semifinals — a rematch of the previous year’s national championship game, won handily by the Runnin’ Rebels — and then defeat Kansas 72-65 in the final for Duke’s first championship.

He is one of six players to average 20 points-per-game, 5 rebounds-per-game, and 5 assists-per-game in his first six NBA seasons.
